Hey guys, I know there ain't much traffic in these areas anymore but I thought I'd put something out. I feel like I'm talking to myself here. But I do it anyways. Hoping that maybe somebody will stumble across this old site and read my messages.

Now, I know that jerking off the clan as much as it seems I do may prompt you to think "Jesus, will this guy shut up? It's an online community!"

That is 100% true. It's an online community where players from all over the world meet, or at least used to. As the time has gone by there have been fewer and fewer of us. There are days when our BIG HYPED Friday Night Wars only consist of 4 people including myself... The people you recruit just disappear the week after. The buildings you build crumble. This is the place where I relieve my stress. The people I've come to know are THE reason I am here still. I can proudly say FUCK the games... I am here for those same 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 voices on teamspeak! When I was in some dark shit in my life this is where I came and felt better. My point is: It kills me to see this place as empty as it is and these amazing people that keep it going not get the credit they deserve!

That's why when I get frustrated at game play I stay in ts for the same reasons. I love my extended family and enjoy hanging out and just bullshitting with everyone. Hope to see you on tonight!

Well, I just want to take a moment and wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Times past, when DC was still kickin' it, there was no better place to be than BOP.
We had a ton of fun and there were times I laughed so hard at what we were doing and saying that it woke my wife up!

Personally, I had some major life changes occur and the priorities of real life took front and center.
The game aged, we aged...the new games that came out never really captured the quality of DC. There is no doubt in my mind.
The folks who congregated around this game were varied both in personality and skill but the interaction was the glue that held it all together.
The days of the DC clans,(and not just the helo clans) offered some of the best fun a gamer could ever want.
At the core of all this fun were those special individuals who had this idea to get a server and build a community of gamers.
I've always respected and appreciated those who kept these servers going, mostly at their own expense, to provide a place where I could come and escape the sometimes harsh reality of life.
Folks like Travis were the unsung heroes in the DC community at large.

Time has moved along and it is all but gone now, but I sure did have a lot of fun and met some good folks like my BOP bros and sisters.
Maybe we can muster up enough interest to put together a helo fun night for as many helo pilots as we can find.
Maybe not.
Either way, it has been a good deal of fun and friendship.

Great to see you Kel! Hope all is well with you and the family. A reunion of dc sorts sounds great, we are planning a field trip next year to visit T-dawg in Oklahomo. I think we should initiate Raven to round up all the helo people he can think of and I will get all the locals here on the band wagon. I would venture a time frame of late January. First weekend of February is the not so Super Bowl. Here is a list of BOP members I think will make it.
